These healthy low-fat chicken tenders are a delicious in under 20 minutes from prep to plate. Juicy and flavorful. I made them in a cast iron skillet to hold the flavor and juiciness better.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken tenders
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning ( I use Seite Taco Seasoning which delivers amazing flavor!!) The link to it is above in this recipe.
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pat of butter
- Garnish with avocado & cilantro
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken tenders and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, and Cajun seasoning.
- Heat the Skillet: In a cast iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the pat of butter and let it melt.
- Cook the Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken tenders to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve: Remove the chicken from the skillet . Serve over a salad or Couscous.
Tips
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the seasonings for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pair with steamed vegetables or a quinoa salad for a balanced plate.
